About Me
The story so far…Established during 2015
I have always had a passion for helping other people to improve their skills and knowledge. This probably commenced during my service as an officer in the Nautical Training Corps, a voluntary uniformed and disciplined cadet force.
I then followed that up during the mid 1980’s by becoming a TAVR reservist member of HM Armed Forces. Most of my relatives were members of the armed forces at one time or another as well.
From my family background, wealth of knowledge gained from my own military service, this has instilled a determination with a sense of pride, to help provide a service to the community.
I achieved my City & Guilds in Health and Social Care (Level 2) and was employed for several years working for Places for People, in the Health and Social Care sector. This included working and supporting families and individuals within their own homes and shared living community, some had life limiting health and mental health conditions.
I joined Crossroads Care (South Central) and after moving roles working within the charitable sector, gained a valuable promotion and became employed as their internal Learning and Development Officer.
It was a requirement of the teaching and training L&D role to become further qualified, therefore after completing six months of distance learning and home studying, I finally achieved my (PTLLS Level 3) Teaching and Training Qualification from the (HABC) Highfield Accreditation Body for Compliance.
After my role becoming redundant in late August 2015, I decided it was a good time to establish myself as a freelance independent training provider, starting up my own business as Avanti Training Solutions.
Other service during that timeline, was with the national well-known charitable organisation, St John Ambulance service working as a part-time sessional trainer with them as a Schools and Community Trainer.
